what kind of event?
This is a spectacular boat racing activity. Twenty persons per boat power this huge canoe. The half-day event starts with a welcome drink, a short explanation and demonstration of the dragon boat paddling technique and then some team building on the water.

We start racing as soon as the crews are ready and willing.

who should go for it?
Colleagues at work, club members, management team; groups of 30-80 are ideal. One day events of up to 400 persons are possible. Barbeque and beach party can also be arranged.

when and where
This activity will begin in mid 2007 and is unique to SIA. The activity is at Sail In Asia's fabulous beach location Ao Yon.

SIA will also run larger events from various picturesque locations on the island - Ko Rang Yai, Krabi ...

what kind of event?
This is a superb activity that will appeal to many people. Sail a Keel Boat (yacht) or catamaran for an hour and then race around the nearby islands or a dedicated course.

Beautiful boats and stunning scenery, yachts gliding noiselessly through the water. The regatta can be structured for groups who have little previous experience.

who should go for it?
In one to two hours we can coach crews with no previous experienc sufficiently to be reasonably proficient to crew our sail boats.

It can also be structured for Corporate Teams who have had plenty of sailing experienc. Groups who have had sailing experienc will enjoy racing catamarans. Sail in Asia can also customize the regatta to the individual group.

when teamwork matters ...
Teamwork is tested under pressure and in a FUN environment. We believe competition is a useful way of improving many aspects of good teamwork. This is a team building activity par excellence.

the PLOT ... This is a superb activity day trip that will appeal to many people. Sail a large yacht, keelboat or catamaran and cruise around the nearby islands of the Racha Island archipaelago. The scenery takes your breath away, cameras are a must! In the one to two hours we have for sailing to reach these islands we can coach crews sufficiently to be reasonably proficient to handle many of our craft.	the FUN! When we arrive at the island the fun begins! We anchor for lunch, go swimming and diving off the boats. Clients can snorkel by the yacht or by the rocks close to the beach and play around the anchorage in open canoes. Stroll along the nearby beach and discover nature. Beach walking on deserted beaches is restful and relaxing!	JUST DO IT! A picnic lunch is available on the beach or on the large yacht that is the support vessel. full day sailing trip to the beautiful Chonglat Anchaorage - from Sheraton Krabi or Ao Por to the Chonglat anchorage in the NE of Phang Nga Bay National Park.

the PLOT ...
This is a spectacular day trip that takes the group to Phang Nga Bays most beautiful and rarely visited island anchorages.

Chonglat is spectacular. It is an island anchorage with in the National Park. The anchorage is set in the magnificent limestone islands that abound in this special place.

The yachts sail elegantly into the calm waters of Phang Nga Bay, passing the amazing Ko Pak Bai group of limestone stacks that reach out of the sea. Bring a camera if you come on this trip.

The yachts proceed to the anchorage as they slowly ply their way through the islands that abound, in this area. The trip to Chonglat takes approximately 2-3 hours.

the FUN!
Once the anchor is down the guests can go swimming and play on canoes in this quiet place. The anchorage is incredibly peaceful. Nearby are ancient cave drawings that are claimed to be over 5000 years old.

Lunch is served on the yachts or if the tides are favourable on a nearby beach. The yachts return to Krabi, via Ko Pak Bia where once again, time permitting, we swim or amble on the beautiful islands. As we cruise towards Krabi a cool afternoon beverage is served.

JUST FOR YOU!
The boats anchor at the Sheraton anchorage, just before 5pm. Guests are escorted to the beach using the yachts dinghies.
