Mini Sailing Regatta

The plot

This is an exciting elite team building activity for the discerning. The event involves a start boat, racing marks, safety boats, and the fleet of well matched racing yachts - monohullls or multi hulls. The mini regatta usually has a racing yacht or support vessel as a start or committee boat - In Phuket we use the magnificent yacht Switchblade for our committee boat.
A regatta can be a simple afternoon affair with a few boats, to a full day event with up to to fifteen boats competing for a prize. The choice is yours! Our race organiser will design the event with you, to ensure you get exactly the sort of event you want. The venue we use for these events is a safe racing area with plenty of scope for setting interesting courses in stunning locations.

The scenery takes your breath away, again video cameras are a must! In the one to two hours we have for sailing to reach these islands we can coach crews sufficiently to be reasonably proficient to handle our craft.

Fun while learning

The day is split up into two sessions. A first session where we teach you the roppes and familiiarise you with the boat controls sails and equipment. You learn to trace in this session and in the the next (usually after lunch) we start the racing. The boats we use are designed forracing and we put you through a series of short races to maintain the team building and excitement of a competitive situation.

Just do it

This is a team building par excellence. Beautiful boats and stunning scenery, islands with white sandy beaches andlush tropical forest go rushing by as we race across the harbour..

The sailing cruise can be structured for groups who have little previous experience of sailing

The yachts available for racing, include a selection of Firefly catamarans, Corsair Trimarans or Platu sports boats. We provide a safety boat with 90 HP engine and well prepared and trained crew- It is a truely a magnificent collection of boats at your disposal:

• an Admirals Cup Yacht called Switchblade for thestart and committee boat.
• a sophisticated 1906 Schooner for those who like lunch in a glorious classic yacht setting .
• we have fast and modern catamarans for those who like speed and space.
• and monohull cruiser racers for those that like to sail, but don’t want too much action or too many people around them. Choose the yachts from our portfolio.
